IS HUMOR, HUMOR?

People humor each other,
to please, to accept one another.
When it gets out of hand,
a slap could be as grave as the Ottoman's.

When humor lacks concept,
All that's left would be inept,
Like bread half baked,
Or a rotten egg.

Try as you might,
to make things right.
You know for certain,
you're bowing to curtains.

You hang on to dear life,
knowing that life,
with such rift is long forgotten,
as fault lines may an earthquake happen,
Or global warming when human greed ripens.

Not deciding may be a choice,
when wrong decisions were choices.
Or choices not made,
to add on humor rashly made.
So do you unto yourself,
embrace humor as Tartuffe?
